AI/ML for Clinical Decision Making: Should Patients be Informed?
The High Tech Law Institute and the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics are pleased to host Dr. Charles Binkley, Director of Bioethics program at the Markkula Center, for a conversation discussing AI/ML for Clinical Decision Making.

The deployment of AI/ML clinical decision support tools into various medical specialties raises multiple ethical concerns, one of which is whether patients should be informed when these tools are used to make a diagnosis or prescribe a treatment. This presentation will examine the existing ethical and legal requirements for informing patients and apply them to AI/ML systems used for clinical decision making.

This event is part of the IT, Ethics and Law Series co-sponsored by the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics and the High Tech Law Institute.
